Casey’s is the oldest Irish bar nestled in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles, known for its warm hospitality, traditional ambiance, and outstanding drinks. As we continue to be a hub for locals and tourists alike, we seek a dedicated and experienced Bartender to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering an exceptional Irish pub experience.
Responsibilities: As a Bartender at our Irish bar, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable experiences for our patrons. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Cocktail Craft: Utilize your extensive knowledge of mixology to prepare a variety of classic and contemporary Irish-themed cocktails, ensuring each drink is expertly crafted with attention to detail and presentation.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by engaging with patrons, taking orders, making recommendations, and creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that reflects the spirit of Ireland.
- Responsibility: Adhere to responsible alcohol service practices, ensuring that guests are served within legal and ethical guidelines. Monitor guest behavior and intervene as necessary to prevent overconsumption.
- Cash Handling: Efficiently process transactions, handle cash and credit card payments accurately, and maintain organized and secure cash registers throughout your shift.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized work area, including bar surfaces, glassware, utensils, and equipment. Follow sanitation guidelines and contribute to a safe and hygienic environment.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with fellow bartenders, servers, and kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and seamless coordination in delivering a cohesive dining and drinking experience.
- Menu Knowledge: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of our drink and food menus, enabling you to provide detailed explanations, answer questions, and make appropriate recommendations to guests.
Qualifications: To excel as a Bartender in our Irish bar, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Bartending Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a bartender, preferably in a similar Irish pub or high-volume hospitality setting.
- Cocktail Expertise: Profound knowledge of mixology techniques, including the ability to craft both traditional Irish drinks and creative contemporary cocktails.
- Customer-Centric: A passion for delivering exceptional customer service, with the ability to create positive and engaging interactions with a diverse range of guests.
- Responsible Service: Familiarity with responsible alcohol service practices and the ability to recognize signs of intoxication, ensuring the safety and well-being of guests.
- Team Player: Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate the needs of our establishment.
