SUMMARY

The Titles Closeout Specialist is responsible for assisting the titles department with vehicle title follow up with various jurisdictions, notating and dispositioning each application into the appropriate status in the applicable The Savings Group system of record. This position assists in the overall portfolio management for titles with follow up through various means but not limited to checking motor vehicle records, DMV/county outreach, lender outreach and phone calls.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include achieving positive results in the following key areas:

  • Understand and demonstrate the principles of The Savings Group’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Works individually assigned lists of applications in ‘at DMV’ status for review of title status.
  • Maintain system of record in accordance with department processes.
  • Understands or can learn the basics of title transactions and jurisdictional differences.
  • Maintains excellent job knowledge of the processes, products, systems, compliance, and company information, as well as continual professional development through personalized training with management, classes, conferences, seminars, workshops, etc.
  • Recording notes and appropriately updating status based on title follow up.
  • Manage email distribution for all title close out requests from departments within The Savings Group.
  • Manage the overall title close out for The Savings Group.
  • Must maintain quarterly production goals for this role. Monthly goals to be given at the beginning of each quarter and may vary based on skill level, volume, and departmental need.
  • Other duties such as business needs dictate.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of general office or customer service experience.
  • Language/Communication/Interpersonal: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and all levels of management.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures, proportions, and percentages.
  • Analytical: Detailed-oriented with excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize and work independently. Strong reasoning and critical thinking skills.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Technical: Comfort with Microsoft Office, keyboarding/computer skills, heavy computer, and phone usage.
  • Other: Elevated level of personal motivation, professionalism, and integrity required. Ability to exercise discretion and judgment.

COMPENSATION:

The Titles Closeout Specialist position pays $18/hr.
