More complete informations about this position opportunity please read the description below. Robert A. Deyton Detention Facility has been operated by The GEO Group, Inc. since January 2008. GEO provides secure care, custody and control for US Marshals prisoners. Se! rvices provided by GEO include security, medical care, food, laundry, booking, video arraignment and transportation. Both male and female prisoners are housed at this facility and include both pretrial prisoners and pre-designation felons awaiting transfer to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
Located in Lovejoy, GA residents are just 10 minutes from the Atlanta Motor Speedway and 30 minutes from the very heart of Atlanta. Lovejoy offers the best of both urban bustle and intimate community. It's rich in history and was home to former Senator Herman Talmadge.

We are seeking a Medical Physician who can examine and treat correctional facility detainees / inmates to ensure proper injury care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and recovery.
- This is a part-time position - 24 hours/week.* Job Responsibilities:
- Medical degree in! medicine from an accredited school and licensed to practice as a medical or osteopathic physician in the state in which the facility is located required.
- Two (2) years of direct work experience preferred.
- Completion of a U.S.-based residency program required.
- Current DEA and D.P.S. Certificate of Registration required.
- Professional license must remain on file at all times at the facility where services are rendered.
- Must be mature, flexible, intellectually alert, able to command the respect and confidence of inmates and staff, and philosophically committed to the objectives of the facility.
As a Corrections Medical P! hysician, you will primarily be responsible for being the lead physician at one of our correctional institutions, with duties such as managing and evaluating the medical program activities based on the company goals, objectives, and philosophy according to industry standards and contractual obligations. The Medical Physician will also function as liaison between correctional officials, public agencies, and the company as part of this role.
