About the Psychiatry Medical Director Position:
This South Central Georgia facility is actively searching for a Medical Director for their Facility. The facility is a 50 Bed Mixed In and Outpatient facility with 50 beds dedicated to adult and adolescent acute psychiatric care and substance abuse patients.
This will be an employed position and includes excellent salary, full benefits (Life, Health, Relocation, Signing bonus etc.), paid vacation and CME. There is a full support system of Psychiatrists, RNs, and Case Managers, they just need a leader. Minimal call and clinical duties are involved. This is not a strictly administrative position (80/20 Clinical to admin). A beautiful small city located in central South Georgia, and approximately 2 hours from Atlantic Coast and ! Gulf Coast beaches.
The facilities are in multiple lo! cations within Georgia's most distinguished acute care psychiatric hospitals. For nearly 28 years, these locations has successfully treated our clients for most major mental, emotional and psychiatric disorders and helped them return to a normal, productive life.
We treat most Axis I diagnoses including: -Mood disorders - including suicidal ideation -Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) -Substance Abuse -Anxiety -Psychosis For adolescents ages 12 to 18 and adults age 18 and over, we offer a full continuum of psychiatric services to meet any level of care required on an inpatient or partial hospitalization/IOP basis.
We specialize in evaluating and effectively treating co-occurring conditions. We perform extensive lab work to identify and manage any medical issues concurrent with psychiatric illness. Our team of physicians, psychiatrists and nurses understand the intricate relationship between psychiatric and medical disorders, and provide our patie! nts an integrated model of care. Our mental health program includes individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, recreational therapy, medication evaluation, medication management and a skills building program.
Our Medical Staff Includes: Psychiatrists and an Internist. Our Nursing Staff Includes: Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses and Psychiatric Technicians.
Our Clinical Staff Includes: Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors, And Licensed Substance Abuse Counselors. Inpatient Psychiatric Care
We designed our intensive inpatient program to first, efficiently and effectively evaluate and stabilize our clients. Once our medical team has stabilized our client, we then work to help them acquire the coping skills they need in order to step down to lower levels of care. Our goal is to help each of our clients achieve the highest possible levels of functionality in the personal, interpersonal and! occupational areas of their lives.
The Medical Director will ! be expected to work with staff to grow the Adolescent Program and the Active Duty Military/PTSD Program. This will include visiting regional military bases on occasion to discuss the program. Experienced at working with severely and persistently mentally ill patients preferred.
