Description: Academy Physicians is looking of Physician Hospitalist Opportunities in Beautiful Location right now, this vacancy will be situated in Georgia. Our Northwest Georgia Hospital client is seeking 2 accomplished Board Certified General Internists with 1 to 3 years experience that allow! s them to care for hospitalized adult patients.
The physician must be comfortable with care of critical care/ ICU patients including ventilator management, medical consultation and co-management of surgical patients as well as the care of general medical patients. The physician will rotate in schedule with five other Hospitalist team members. They work on a block schedule; 7 on 7 off. Twelve hour shifts. Two shifts are available; 6am-6pm or 7am to 7pm. The client has three MD's and one Mid-level on the 6a - 6p day shift. The day Hospitalist will conduct multi-disciplinary rounds as well as attending the in-patient service. The Hospitalist Service and individual Hospitalist will be expected to participate and provide leadership in on-going quality initiatives of the hospital including the clinical pathway program. The physician will be expected to communicate daily with referring physicians and hospital staff.
The ideal candidate is an energetic, hard worki! ng team player who will participate in developing the Hospital! ist group and help achieve the overall goals of the Hospital's Hospitalist Program.
Preferred candidates are BC Internal Medicine with an excellent educational and/or practice history, graduate of a US Medical School with/or eligibility for a Georgia Medical License.
