Job Title Instructor-CT Job Requisition ID 24107BR Division School Of Medicine Department 732540:SOM: HMO: Administration Full/Part Time Full-Time Regular/Temporary Regular Minimum Hourly $ 0 Midpoint Hourly $ 0 Minimum Annual $ 0 Midpoint Annual $ 0 Job Description The Winship Cancer Institute (WCI) and The Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology of the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia are recruiting experienced internist with expertise in supportive care medicine. The WCI has a growing clinical, translational, and basic research faculty and an extensive practice in hematology and oncology with many patients who become candidates for clinical trials. The successful candidate will have demonstrated competence in medicine, and the ability to work closely with other hematologists, specialists in biostatistics, clinical research, ethics, and regulatory affairs. The successful candidate is expected to successfully collaborate with existing faculty at Grady and the WCI. The WCI requires candidates who hold a M.D. or equivalent degree.
The successful candidate for this faculty position will have experience in supportive care and will have clinical responsibilities consisting of outpatient management of sickle cell patients in the Grady Sickle Clinic under Dr. Eckmanâs supervision. Other duties would include clinical research and on call duties.
The WCI is a matrix cancer institute that houses Hematology and Medical Oncology as an autonomous academic department within the Emory University School of Medicine, with programs located at Emory University Hospital, Emory University Hospital Midtown, the Atlanta Veteransâ Administration Medical Center, and Grady Memorial Hospital campuses. The Winship Cancer Institute has recently been named a National Cancer Institute designated cancer center. In addition, the Emory University School of Medicineâs BMT Program is NMDP and FACT accredited, performing both allogeneic and autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplants.
