Part time nurse practitioner needed for the hours of 8am-4pm. All days of the week available for shifts.
Duties to include the following: Mid-Level practitioner will work under the direction of Hospitalist onsite physician.
Will be expected to answer pages on hospitalist inpatients and to see patients in follow up as needed during the shift. New admission evaluations to be done based on volume with physician supervision. Examination and treatment privileges should include all systems and pathologies normally covered by an Internist.
If needed would be expected to discharge patients if cleared by physician on record (perform discharge summary, write prescriptions, discharge order sheet and complete paper work as may be required).
Needs to be comfortable working in a acute care setting, assisting med-surge patients.
Will attend patient-family meetings if requested by team leader.
Will attend case management meeting or multidisciplinary rounds if requested by team leader.
Is expected to perform procedures the extender has proven competence for.
All extender notes should be signed by collaborating physician where possible.
All H & P's done for the geriatric psychiatry patients. EOE
